Re: A reminder to check your equipment

Liz, I'm glad nothing bad happened. My heart raced when I saw the damage. That is a leash maker's nightmare. That snap is a nice and very expensive snap. It was probably an internal defect that was completely hidden. Looks like a soft area in the cast on the head. That was a quality leash. I would r...

Re: Collar Envy

Ouch, embedded collar. Thanks for saving him. Unfortunately that seems to be a common neglect injury. Get him healed up well and then make the new collar an exciting, positive experience. I hope everything works out.

Re: Ella's Lead new Eco Lead!

I am nit a fan of rope leads but that one is nice looking. Somone just gave me a large area matt/rug made out of soda/milk bottles and it is the same colors as your new leash. The manufacturer of these ropes uses literally thousands of TONS a year of old bottles and food grade plastics. That's some...

Re: Landrollers

I'd totally bust my butt in those things. Although, the big wheels would help.

You'd see me laying in a ditch somewhere with Ella sniffing me for food (until a furry ran by).

Re: Leash Help.

You can try our small leads. They use a swaged aluminum sleeve that is covered by a nice heavy rubberized heat shrink tubing. These clamps are super light and super strong. I have to use a 3 foot long swager to crimp them. It applies pressure all the way around it. I put 3 crimps evenly spaced (or a...

PET usually comes from food grade plastics, mostly water bottles. They recycle, dye, and spin it into this nice strong rope. Pretty nifty.

People trust their lives with these ropes hanging over cliffs. They can take abrasion and 1000's of pounds of stress. A carnivore with sharp teeth will cut through it, especially a driven one. Our leads are not meant as tie-outs. For that use, I'd recommend a good chain or at least a steel cable. Ou...

Well crap. That was one of my favorite leads. The double leads take some time to make and I liked the way that one turned out. It is a 3/8" mountain rope with a nice sheath over the core. It takes sawing action with a knife to cut it, so she must have really worked it hard to cut it like that.

She does great work and it is well worth the money. We are very happy with ours and have it hanging next to the entrance to our home. Everyone compliments it.

Even with a tape measure it is hard to determine the thickness. It has to be pulled tight. They certainly don't screw us on the diameter.
