I am using Beaverdam Hi Pro. It is fairly local. No Chinese ingredients, the dogs love it and their coats and energy level say it's a good food

I would keep vetting vets...you have had your share of incompetents. There has to be a decent vet somewhere near you, ask around , who do your friends use?

It sure would be nice if Miss Kiwi would come back for medical direction...

There's a few things to consider here. One is at 18 months Boo is reaching maturity, he will be forming adult attitudes towards other dogs. He may turn out to be dog aggressive or not no matter what you do. That being said, a Pit/beagle mix is going to need ALOT of exercise. They are both high energ...

I really hope this works out well for you. But you might want to keep in contact with this family after the adoption. There is a possibility that in a yr or so their other Pit might not be so agreeable. By then your circumstances may have changed and you could take him back if neccessary. Just sayin
