Re: choosing food?

We went raw for our 2 boys almost a year ago. It is comparable in price if you shop smart. Plus you will save a lot of money in vet bills and meds.

We did A LOT of research before going raw. Great results shedding some bloat, coat looking shinny and teeth looking clean!

Ok. I feel better :nana:

It's been 6 days. They love it. I'm hoping Jaxx drops off a few pounds, gets his lean on :headbang:

Just introduced our dogs to BARF tonight (raw chicken dinner

So after doing a lot of reading and seeking advice from more experienced friends in the subject, tonight we introduced our 2 males, each 5 years young to their first raw chicken dinner. Even though I was a bit grossed out at the beginning, they both loved it. I served them a chicken drumstick each. ...

Our first foster is HW+, Need advice with our resident dogs

We recently helped rescue a stray male Golden Retriever and with the help of a local rescue here in Florida we were able to get him vet care. It turns out he's HW+, has whip worm, hook worm and is also recovering from getting neutered. We are currently fostering him in our house. This is our first d...

Best sources of antioxidants for our dogs?

Lately I have been more aware of the benefits of antioxidants in humans, which brings me to this question. What natural foods (not kibbles) are the best source of antioxidants for dogs? I know some antioxidant-rich fruit isn't healthy for dogs. Any veggies or fruits? Can I mix it up with the Nutro I...

smelly ears. dried up blood?

I noticed prince constantly scratching on his ears and shaking his head a lot. I looked inside of his ears and they looked pretty dirty with what I thought it was ear wax. Cleaned him with Q-tips but whatever is in there seems to come back within a few days. I also noticed that when I grab the base ...

Re: Hind leg(s) sore, limping after exercise. Need advice

Yeah, that makes sense. Jaxx is more of a runner. He runs like there's no tomorrow. Do these injuries heal close to 100%?
I mean, at this stage where it still just a sprain? How about post surgery?

Re: Hind leg(s) sore, limping after exercise. Need advice

Sprained left knee, possible partial tear in the meniscus. The vet sent us home with some Deramaxx 100mg for inflammation, which is not really so bad according to her and what she showed us on the x-rays. Prior to the vet's visit Jaxx was still limping but leaping on the couch and pulling on his wal...

Hind leg(s) sore, limping after exercise. Need advice

Hey guys, this is what I've noticed: Jaxx gets sore after exercising at the field. It's always his hind legs when he limps. Either the right or the left. It lasts a couple of days and then he's good. His exercise consists of running and fetching. No backflips lol Jaxx is 70lbs*, a few lbs over his i...
