Re: 2 year old male becoming aggressive?

This was a hot time for my dogs in the past. They know what's coming and its like a gasoline spill spreading through the dogs. All it takes is a tiny spark and you have an all out inferno. Yeah, my dogs do the same. They wag thier asses around like a ping pong paddle! I'll try this stuff and see wh...

Re: 2 year old male becoming aggressive?

Ok, I think I understand all that, but they love to play tug-o-war with an old house shoe I gave them. So, yall are saying I shouldn't let them play together unsupervised?

2 year old male becoming aggressive?

My boy Bullit will be 2 at the end of this year and has never shown any sign of aggression except only barking (with slight growls) when someone pulls up the driveway, things like that. Well, I got Abby 6 weeks ago. She's 13 weeks old now. My problem is my male becomes aggressive towards her when fo...

Re: tricks for giving medicine

I'm astonished that Bullit can taste the pill inside the treat. Tell him he's supposed to wolf it down, not roll it about his palate like it's a wine tasting or something. Haha, that's exactly what he does! Sometimes I would give him a piece of regular cheese, just to get him goin. Then I'll sneek ...

Re: tricks for giving medicine

I've tried it in cheese. It worked the first time, but he got wise to that. I put it in a can of dogfood before too. That worked until now. He didn't fall for it this time, that's why he got it force fed to him. I've never tried peanut butter before. I'll try that next time, thanks

tricks for giving medicine

For as long as I've been giving Bullit his heart worm tablets, he's been stubborn about taking them. When it's time for him to take one, it takes a new strategy to get it down. Does anyone have a trick that works every time? Just now, I forced it in his mouth with a treat and he finally ate it, but ...

Re: Has anyone used NU-STOCK for Mange?

My puppy is ok, the spots cleared up pretty much. They must have been little cuts.

Re: Has anyone used NU-STOCK for Mange?

I took my 9 week old pup in for her first check-up since I got her and the vet was curious about a spot above her left eye. She said the hair looked a little thin. This was last Thursday. I thought it was just where her eyebrow whiskers are growing because all the other areas on her face with whiske...

Re: wasp sting

I looked, but didn't see any stinger. I pressed on his ear today and it didn't bother him. The only thing now is it don't perk up as high as his other ear does. Other than that, everything is fine. My friend comes back Sunday, so maybe he will be all better by then.

wasp sting

A friend of mine is letting me babysit his 3 month old fawn brindle while he is in Florida. The night he gave him to me, he said he thinks the little fella got stung by a wasp on his left ear. It was swollen and he couldn't move it too good. If you touched it, he would yelp a little. The next day it...

German Sheppard companion?

Does anyone on here have a German Sheppard that lives with you and your Pit? My girlfriends uncle has two full blooded Sheppards and the female is fixing to have pups. I'm sure he will let me have one if I want. Should I get a male or female? My boy isn't fixed if that makes any difference.
