Re: I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts

Oh, far worse. It didn't not pass. They didn't vote. They decided to hold the vote until 11pm. At 11pm they started congratulating everybody and their mother on everything they've ever done. They wished family members happy birthday. They wasted the hour away. And then, at midnight, when the live f...

Re: Please send thoughts/prayers for my dog Misty

Thanks everyone! Good news. :) That reaction she had lasted only that one night and ever since she's been wonderful. Her incision is healing beautifully and she's acting 100% like herself again. She's even been playing around with her toys again. ^^ She's still being picky every once in a while abou...

Re: Please send thoughts/prayers for my dog Misty

Yes, she's still on painkillers. She's on tramadol and carprofen (along with Clavamox as an antibiotic). However, she was acting fine all day yesterday until last night came around. And it was definitely a very hormone-like reaction. She was trying everything to get us to take her outside because sh...

Re: Please send thoughts/prayers for my dog Misty

Ok, so.. I got almost no sleep last night. Misty kept me (and everyone else) up the entire night acting like she was in HEAT. She kept barking to go outside, and at first we thought she just had to go, but when I took her out, she marked everywhere . She wanted to go around the entire neighborhood a...

Re: Please send thoughts/prayers for my dog Misty

Oh, it's ok. :) Just a misunderstanding. I am very relieved no one actually said that. I was just clarifying with the spay because I know where people's minds would jump to and just wanted them to understand the situation before something may have been said. And I just wanted to stress that she's no...

Re: Please send thoughts/prayers for my dog Misty

Ok, so, I did find out it was the morphine and/or the effects of the anesthesia making her act out like she was. She actually ate and drank this morning (with assistance, but she did) and she let me put the pills down her just fine! :) She alert, she's starting to walk around, she's urinating just f...

Re: Please send thoughts/prayers for my dog Misty

Thank you so much everyone! It means so much to me. Thank god the surgery went better than they expected and I got home with her a few hours ago. She is completely out of it though. She wasn't aware of anything and actually bit me once and the tech 3 times (didn't break the skin though) when we were...

Please send thoughts/prayers for my dog Misty

Tonight when I got out of class I got a call from my mom informing me that Misty had just urinated a lot of blood out of no where. As soon as I got home we took her to the emergency vet. They took a urine sample there and there was a ton of blood in it. :( They did a urinalysis and found (obviously)...

Re: I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts

Oh God... :( Why do these things always have to happen, well, one period, and at the worst possible times? This has irresponsibility painted all over it. 2 dogs abandoned in a back yard, they both escape. The kid, who sees these two strange, roaming dogs, goes to pet one, who bites (not attacks) the...

Re: Cataracts?

So, Misty made out pretty good yesterday. The vet looked in her both of her eyes and said she does in fact have nuclear sclerosis and is free of cataracts. She said her eyes aren't that bad though, and that her sight should be just fine for right now. I am very happy it isn't cataracts, but, at the ...

Re: Cataracts?

Thank you so much! I had never heard of Lenticular Sclerosis. That's really good to know, and seems like it's certainly a real possibility. I actually called a little while ago to see if there were any cancellations, and got Misty's appointment moved up to tomorrow afternoon. So, at least now I shou...

Cataracts?

So, my dog Misty isn't a pit bull, but I do have a health question about her. Misty is now 10yrs old., and I noticed the other day that the pupils of Misty's eyes looked a little bluish just in normal light. Then, I looked into them with a small flashlight, and there is a really whitish/bluish tinte...
