Re: Chain link backyard fencing solution for DA dog
Before I could afford my privacy fence I had a 4' chain link. I lined the inside of the fence with tarps. I zip tied the tarps to the chain link. It eliminated any way to fence fight. It actually looked pretty decent. I did my best to not make it look trashy. I always go out with Khan and he has alw...

Re: anyone with issues with there dogs chewing feet
Glad things have resolved! I think a lot of people think RAW is harder than it is. I'm glad you are comfortable with it so soon. It took me a while to not be worrying about every little ounce. Once I got comfortable and switched my 5 cats over it us even easier. My vet totally supports raw and is ho...

Re: anyone with issues with there dogs chewing feet
I figured out the allergy... it is fresh cut grass... he only seems to get them the first few days after the grass is cut. I did correct his paw licking, very rarely do I see him licking now. finally sourced beef kidney and pancreas... I should have them in next week. The butcher shop I go to, almo...

You can also crunch the bones by hitting it with a meat tenderizer depending on the size of what you are feeding. I do it with chicken necks I feed my cats as a couple of them are missing teeth from extractions. I've never feed a puppy raw, but am feeding 5 cats raw.

I don't doubt that you are. There is no reason why you need to though.
You don't need to supplement if you feed raw.

Re: Blue Ridge Beef - Puppy Mix (Raw)
It seems Liver is the only organ I am seeing. Heart is considered muscle meat. There should be something along the lines of kidney or spleen. It should be 5% liver and 5% of another organ. I'd also be concerned about protein as you generally want about 4 in a raw diet. There are 2 in the mix. I'm a ...

Re: Starting PMR-- Questions
I've never posted looking for free meat other than from friends of mine. I've thought about it. I do know quite a bit of people do it though with no problem. I have to say I have wondered or worried that some nut would poison it or something. Although I generally think the worst of people...lol I wo...

Re: 9 Month Old Thor Has a Luxating Patella... Yay...
That sucks! My Khan has a luxating patella. It is low grade and the orthopedic vet did not feel surgery was necessary... even though the vet I saw at the time thought it was. I'm wondering if there is an ACL tear... It is not typical to cause limping or pain. The way the specialist described it to m...

What is listed for the mix?
I've heard good things about BRB products. I generally don't feed ground, but I may get some of their venison.

Re: B.A.R.F. 101
I wouldnt worry about organ for a while. Do you plan on doing 100% raw at some point? I would stick with 1 protein for 2 weeks or more if he is having trouble adjusting to the protein. Certain proteins can cause gas for them. Every dog is different. Also changing food and adding raw is probably what...

Re: B.A.R.F. 101
I haven't been on here for a while, but still hop on when I am subscribed to a thread. Anyway...there have been quite a few threads about RAW. I think they are all shorter than this one! If you search my user name I responded/posted in a lot of them. I now raw feed 5 cats and my pit bull. If you can...

Khan's dew claw had that problem...but his has not grown back normal. It grows back, cracks or splits, gets cut back, repeat!
