Re: Blue Buffalo

I have heard good things regarding Merrick and Wilderness.

Going to buy a bag today and see how Bruno likes it!

Thank you for the suggestion :)

Blue Buffalo

Hey guys, I have been following all of this stuff happening with Blue Buffalo. When i got my puppy, we had him on BB. We just got a new bag around the beginning of March. For the past two weeks he seems to be eating a lot of grass when i take him out. He also seems to drink a bunch of water here and...

Re: OFFICIAL ear cropping/tail docking debate thread

I am not edcuated enough to really know of all the pros and cons to having these procedures done, but i figured i would chime in :D I dont mean to get weird here but I want to compare this kind of thing to a procedure like a circumcision. A lot of people say that it has healthy benefits while others...

Re: Puppy questions (with pics)

My puppy was the same way. He had very floppy ears and they did not start to look normal until now and he is hitting 5 months. The development faze can be different from pup to pup but from what i can see your pup is going through the same development as mine. Bruno's eyes were also very dull and fa...

Re: Alpha Playing

I have been wrestling with my 5 month old and it does not seem to have changed the way him and i interact... Or how he interacts with other people/dogs. Honestly I am finding it more healthy to play with my pup this way... He is starting to associate acceptable behavior while playing and what is not...

Re: Submissive Urination or Anxiety?

Ok, Not a UTI but they did recommend that we keep him clean down there because he was having some discharge. They said that he could have a weak bladder so we started taking him out more often like every 3 hours or less and he seems to be doing better. I think the anxiety of holding it is starting t...

Re: Running With Puppy

The problem is really forced exercise, and excessively rough, high-impact exercise. If tug is mild, go ahead and continue. If your games of tug involve front feet leaving the floor, then I would tone it down a bit. Jogging is fine as pups get older, but its important to keep it short so you are not...

Re: Thrashing: Harmless?

I think what you are seeing is very common and completely harmless. Our one dog did it as a puppy, and both of our dogs still do it now as adults (seniors really). Sometimes if they're really into a game of tug of war they'll growl as well. As long as your dog isn't misbehaving and this isn't a beh...

Re: Running With Puppy

I play tug games with Bruno, you think i should stop until this time? I feel tug games can put stress on his forward body and joints.

Is there an approved list of activities for puppies and dates? Like a chart? That would be awesome :D

Submissive Urination or Anxiety?

Hello World! Going crazy with threads today roflmao My Bruno is 5 months old and recently he has been having weird pee problems. I thought he might have a UTI but he does not have any symptoms at all. He on occasion will do this thing where he walks and pees right in front of us. I am not sure if it...

Thrashing: Harmless?

Hey world! Bruno has been picking up his toys and doing a bit of thrashing and growling. He is hitting 5 months so i believe he is hitting puberty and there are just some changes happening that are all a part of the aging process with him. He does not act agressive towards other dogs/humans at all a...

Running With Puppy

Hello world! My little Bruno is now 5 months old and my girl wants to take him out for a jog. Now i have not really played to rough with him because of his joints and was wondering at his current age what is acceptable in terms of running with him? From what i can tell short bursts for like 25 yards...

Re: The "Come" Command

Start over from the beginning with a new word that doesn't sound anything like what you're using now to call him over to you. Never ever say this word and then trim his nails. Never ever say this word and punish the dog in ANY way. Frequently say this word and give him an entire meal. Frequently sa...
