Re: odd eating behaviors

Hmmm. I understand the idea of taking preventative precautions. But I'm a "don't fix what ain't broken" kind of person. My three do everything together. We do our tricks for treats together. Everyone is respectful of space and each others treats. They watch and take turns. They sleep toget...

Re: odd eating behaviors

If your dogs do not have any food or dog aggression, what's the reason behind feeding them all in separate rooms? Just curious.

Re: odd eating behaviors

Did this ever get resolved? We've got a few weird eating habits going on as well. When we first got Lego, he wouldn't eat without us and the other dogs being in there with him. And he would scarf it down like he had been starving forever. I don't know his story, before we adopted him, maybe he was n...

Re: Does That Tickle or What??

My husky mutt mix apparently doesn't have one of those spots. I have had her her whole life, going on 9 years, and have yet to find one, anywhere! It's so strange. With Lego, these spots and being tickled are two entirely different things. I think the spots either feel good or its like an involuntar...

Re: Housebreaking problems

My friend had a pup that learned, that every time he peed in the house, he got to go outside. Maybe he's just not ready to go to bed, and going in the house is his way of ensuring what he wants. Not saying this is the case...just a thought. If it's not his physical health, maybe it's psychological.

Re: Starter muzzle?

Those mussels have the look of a Hannibal lector mask. Haha! They seem like good muzzles though. Thanks for the link! I've been bookmarking everything I come across on here.

Re: LEGO: From prepared to paranoid...

No, I wouldn't take him to a dog park, even if we had one around here. I just mean the locals parks, obviously on leash. It would be an ideal place to work on distractions at. Which he really does need some training with. Our local trainers seem to not be in business anymore or something, I've been ...

Re: LEGO: From prepared to paranoid...

I'm so ready for some better weather. Ready to take Lego on longer walks, and trips to the parks and rivers. It's either been several inches of snow on the ground, several inches of mud from the melted snow, or below zero wind chills. We are all feeling the cabin fever. Other than visiting family an...

Re: Starter muzzle?

Yeah, I think I'm gonna order a cheapie online, because all the pet stores have are pricey ones that he will outgrow too quickly. Being part lab, he is growing like a monster! When we walk, sometimes i put the looped handle end of the leash around his muzzle. So far he really doesn't seem to care, u...

Re: Albany GA passing BSL

I have absolutely no experience with the fight against bsl. But I've been wanting to join in. There are a bunch of people on here who could better help you, and I'm sure they will chime in. If I were in your place, I would limit the personal feelings. Personal feelings are important, but not as impo...

Re: Traveling with your bullies

Wow! I had never thought about a hotel asking for proof of vaccinations. No hotel I've ever been to has asked that of us before. Good to know, cuz I never thought to bring that stuff with. Most of my traveling is within a 4hour time frame...but I think I will make copies of all that stuff to keep in...

Re: Missouri law to prohibit BSL!

I actually emailed Ron hicks, the state rep who brought this to hearing. He responded with a long and sincere email explaining the lengthy process (in lamens terms for the inexperienced) of this getting passed. To make this brief, this hearing was just the first step. He feels very optimistic, but i...

Re: Starter muzzle?

Well this would be just for very short periods of time. Like I said, it's just to get him used to having a muzzle on his face. Once he is done growing, I will get a basket.

Re: Starter muzzle?

Yeah I read in the other threads about how everyone seems to be loving the baskervilles. When he's done growing, I will surely get one of those, but for now, I was looking for something more disposable (for lack of a better word), just to get him used to the idea of it. I think I will just do what c...
