Re: Oral flea medication - anyone tried?

Thanks guys,
so I got a prescription for comfortis, but seems like the size I need is sold out and backordered everywhere, including my vet. I found few places that sell it without prescription, and ship it from Canada. Would you trust those? I am a little lost...

Oral flea medication - anyone tried?

with a toddler in a house, and me being pregnant, I have been very weary of using topicals on Sheba. So I have found out about oral anti-flea medicine called Comfortis. Seems like there are some side effects, but again, everything can have side effects.... Has anyone tried it on their dogs? How did ...

Re: Itchy butt

So maybe I should look into psychological reasons rather than physical? :) that is the area/spot where their mom's licked them when they were born to stimulate their nursing reflex. I have seen dogs, cats and horses all do that , probably lot of others do it as well. if you ever get the chance to wa...

Itchy butt

Sheba has started doing this thing lately (maybe few months): she will come up to me, and start bumping her rear into my leg. Not under the tail part, but more like the lower back (where back meets the tail). Ultimately, she wants me to scratch it, and when I do, she is over the moon happy. If my le...

Re: Sheba got posessed for one day...

Val, you know what happens when you make assumptions, right?
No, Sheba's separation anxiety was not treated with e-collar (how??), and neither was her behavioral issues.

Re: Sheba got posessed for one day...

I guess your guesses are as good as mine here :) I thought mirror could crack on its own, if we had a small earthquake, but nothing else in the house was out of place. Maybe my and babies departure triggered her old SA, but then why mirror on the wall and not the door? Spammie, I know she just sleep...

Re: Bike attachment

I have Springer and Walkydog. This is what happened to Walkydog in the middle of the busy intersection: http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k181/pfsib/walkydog1.jpg It send me driving one way, and Sheba running another. One of the scariest moments of my life, and I owe it all to Walkydog. This was sev...

Sheba got posessed for one day...

So, it is not really behavior advice need, since I don't see it happening again (but again, I didn't think this would have ever happened in the first place), but Sheba has done something extremely weird. And I am curious in your opinion as to what might have happened. Last week I took our baby and w...

Re: Dock Dogs Questions

You don't need to make a vest, just get one from the hunting store (online or otherwise). I prefer the ones with zipper on the top, because velcro does come apart sometimes. So, it would be somehting like this: http://www.gundogsupply.com/dokken-neoprene-dog-vest.html" onclick="window.open(this.href...

Re: Teaching toddler how to behave with the pibble?

I have a 19 month old and an 8 year old dog. While dog is very tolerant to a toddler, I know she is not always happy to be bothered. That is why I have divided my house with baby gates. I have completely separated living/dining area, which is our family room and baby's play zone. When baby is there,...

Re: Piper and our 7-month-old son

A couple times she has attempted to sit on Billy, which I don't let her do because she weighs 50 pounds. :) Other times, she has laid her head on him. It's cute. That sounds like domineering gestures to me, and I would not allow it, if it was my dog. Then she started getting a little more deliberat...

Re: Pet Insurance

MissKitty, these are the questions for the insurance agent. Why don't you call them and ask? You don't have to give your name, etc, so they will not track your questions to you if you decide to sign up.
