Re: Pet Insurance

I would prefer putting up a savings account for your dog just in case medical complications arise. With pet insurance you might end up paying more for less.

Diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia HELP

My sister's pit has just been diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia, we got some advice form the vet concerning changing his diet and performing exercises. Just curious, has anyone here had the same issue with their pits? any information on how to take care of him will be highly appreciated.

Re: He pees in HER crate

Make sure he is going outside enough to do his business. Also a reason he might be peeing in it over and over again is maybe you aren't cleaning it well enough each time. Even if WE can't smell the urine...the dog can. Needs to be cleaned like with Lysol wipes and then make sure to use a paper towel...

Re: Fear of men

Its possible that she wasn't socialized with enough men while at the rescue center. What you need to do is to expose her to your male friends let them know about your situation i am sure they will be willing to help. During this exercise carry out positive reinforcements to get her to warm up to men...

Re: Stealing/Eating Things

Sometimes this happens when your dog is just idle or maybe needs some attention. You should consider taking her through some exercises just to let off some extra energy.
