My knee jerk reaction is "no". But really how handy is she should be the first question?
Any ideas about what exactly she'd like?

Re: IMHA and ITP
My friend Liz almost lost her bitch Emma to IMHA. It took a lot of care. I'm not sure how much of it she's posted publically but I can ask.
Good luck!

Re: Heavy duty but comfortable crate mats?
Primo Pads? They are very hardy according to the friends that have them.
Hank shreds bedding at dock diving and at flyball practice. He now just gets cheap fleece blankets and once he's turned them into litle bits, I replace them.

Re: Rabbit?
If you are looking to add calories and such for a skinny dog - rabbit's pretty low in fat. I know that I couldn't feed it to my competition dogs regularly since they need some fat in their diet. Also, out of 5 dogs - only 1 likes rabbit. I have a friend who tried rabbit with 4 dogs and only one like...

Re: Wobbly Board Fears
Very cool links, thank you both!! Would I need to buy multiple balance boards (the amazon link) to create something he could walk across, or is that more for simple 'rest your paw here' exercises? I think he does have body awareness, he is just 'self conscious' about it (obviously a human emotion b...

Re: Wobbly Board Fears
You can get the balance pod things for people on Amazon and that's what we use. http://www.amazon.com/Isokinetics-Brand-Exercise-Balance-Cushion/dp/B000WQ4Z7Q/ref=pd_sim_sbs_sg_4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I'd suggest just lots of small, positive interactions with wobbly stuff. l...

oh good! Yes, lots of wobble board work and such. I was having visions of those folks that lead a dog on leash over the dogwalk within weeks of "class".
good luck and have a great time!!

Re: TOTALLY new to agility. A little overwhelmed!
She did awesome. The trainer was blown away. Cali got on every obstacle/piece of equipment that she was asked to without hesitation. I have to echo Leslie's post above. Be careful about putting her on obstacles. Pete took a "fun class" and they had us try all the equipment in like 6 weeks...

Re: Starting puppy on flyball
I am having second thought about it, as much as I would love my dog to be into something I do not want him having problems in the future. I will be meeting them Friday for the first day, and will see how it goes. Thank you so much for the heads up. Hank started recalls at about 10 weeks. He's incre...

Re: Starting puppy on flyball
I have searched around and have gotten different opinions. I would like to know what is the right age to introduce a dog to flyball. I have a 5 months old puppy (sbt) and I already contacted a team and they will teach me and the dog flyball. However I started researching and most people say to avoi...

We've worked for a couple of places where we teach a specialty class.
Our cut is usually 50%. The organization handles enrollment and payment and then we get a check.

I just fast, let them drink and let them have access to a place where they can spray water out of their butt.

Giant pearl necklace and a series of photos of her "just being good" while wearing it. Maybe a video to "She's a lady" or another song about what a lady she is? "The Nicest Girl on the Block" Betsy calls to mind vintage 1950's and maybe girl scouts so a sash with her Ba...

Re: Global Warming & Dog Training
So I'm teaching a class at a local private rescue facility SPCA-type place. Three people showed up for the first class with Gentle Leaders on their dogs. They all wanted to do restrained recalls to a toy with the dog wearing the GL because they "get out of control" on a flat collar. and th...

Re: Raising more than one Pit Bull together??
I'm a little confused (but we're also out of coffee at home) are you thinking about keeping all 3?
Because raising 3 puppies and making sure they aren't co-dependent on each other or don't get the socialization and training they need is really, really, really hard.
