Re: Feeding Raw

So I gave Sasha a marrow bone last night in her crate lined with an old towel and she went to town!!! She didn't even care to come out and great our friend who's her favorite man-friend! :) I let her out after she had eaten all the meat off the outside and only a little bit marrow left inside... I w...

Re: Feeding Raw

Here's my question... No one has mentioned clean up!!! :wow I see a lot of the pictures are outside so that's easy but for the people that feed inside how often do you mop? or sanitize your floor? I feed Acana which I'm very happy with but I'd love to start giving RMBs as a treat... I just know my d...

Re: Anyone Try Orijen

I don't know if those other foods have as high levels of protein as Orijin (70% protein). Some dogs do really well on such a high level and some dogs don't. I really wanted to keep Sasha on a grain free food from a company I could trust. Someone on this forum suggest Acana (60% protein) and I figur...

Re: Anyone Try Orijen

Hey Iloveblu - I did experience excess drinking so I switched Sasha to Acana. It's made by the same company as Orijin but is a lower percentage of protein. Still grain-free, same great quality food. Sasha also got rid of her runny poops that she had with Orijin.
Give it a try! :peace:

Re: Anyone Try Orijen

Thanks Franster! I've never heard of that company but I just checked out their website and it sounds great! I searched and the closest store is 45 minutes away... hopefully I can get down there to check it out!

Re: Anyone Try Orijen

Sasha is a rescue and I have no idea what she was being fed before I got her so the only thing I have to go on is that her coat was very dull and shabby looking when we got her and now she doesn't smell like dog and has a gorgeous coat that people compliment her on. Her toes have no signs of yeast a...

Re: Anyone Try Orijen

Oh well that's good to know... Finding the right dog food is soooo hard. I want her to eat the highest quality food that is good for her whole health... I had an interesting conversation with the vet the rescue is having us take her too... he tried to convince me that Science Diet is the best food o...

Re: Anyone Try Orijen

I feed my dog Orijen Fish and she loves it but last time she was at the vet for her heartworm treatment they did mention her kidney levels were off. And after reading this it makes me wonder... What do you suggest adding to her food to keep her balanced and keep her on the Orijen? Is Acana made by t...

Re: No-Pull Harness

That's so funny that this thread is going on right now... I just found this: http://www.etsy.com/listing/50251897/no-pull-dual-walker-dog-harness-large?ref=v1_other_2 I think it's cool that you can personalize it and it's made out of soft fabric. It has the front clip and the back clip. Check out th...

Re: Catnip oil as mosquito repellent!

Millicent,
How did this end up working? I'm thinking about getting it. I bought lavender oil to make my own spray but I wonder if the Citronella spray will work better... ?

I'm sure one or more of the beasts at the humane society would be a wonderful test subject. Please add us! :)

Re: Licks around when scratched above tail?

You hit the sweet spot! :)
I'm not a vet but I'm 99% sure there's nothing wrong with that. My dog did that too!! And when I would scratch a specific spot on my dogs neck he would make this face and look like he been hit in the face with a shovel! lol
