So, I guess that's an all around NO. I was doing it for socialization. I don't know many people, and my neighbors dogs are not all that well behaved. No one in my family has a dog, and I only have two friends. Moose's biggest problem is how over excited he gets when he sees another dog, because he i...

Doggy daycare yes or no?

Just want a few more opinions. Two users already kindly gave me their advice on this, which is greatly apprecited. So far it is two for no. Does anyone else want o give their opinions? Please give a reason for either answer. Moose is seven months, hasn't shown DA yet, but he hasn't been around more ...

merriterrier Moose is seven months. Could you please tell me why daycare isn't a good idea? I am confused on how to keep Moose socialized if I can't let him be around other dogs. I am plannning on asking them to leave him on the leash for the first introductions, and if he can't handle it, I will ju...

I tried one no pull harness before, and it didn't seem to work, I am going to try another brand and see if it works better. Moose doesn't pull all the time like he used to, but he still does when he sees another dog, or if we are going into a store.

Finnigan: I have been working on his leash training, and am waiting for the prof. trainer to be able to get him in. I am trying the best I know how, and I am trying to get some one with more knowledge to help me. As I have stated before, I used the flexi because I have trouble with my hands. It was ...

Thanks for the replies guys, and thanks for not making me feel worse about what happened. I knew the flexi leash is not ideal, and I have tried a lot of other leashes. I have problems ith my hands, and I have a hard time keep hold of regular leashes. I don't have enough strength in them to hand on w...

I AM A MORON (Rant) and plead for advice

Okay first of all let me apologize in advance for any typos, I am trying to type this with two sliced open fingers. Curtosy of one Moose and a flexi leash. I was out walking Moose, having no real issues with him, he only pulled a couple of times. I was trying out the new halti thing I had just bough...

Thanks for the replies. Moose was on a leash, he almost alwyas is, since I have no control over him if he's not. I didn't see Buck(the lab pup) until Moose was already on top of him. My fault of course. I didn't let Moose do it, I was trying to get him off Buck. I didn't want to hurt Buck though, an...

What treats, toys have you found the best to get your dogs..

attention. I know one of the things I have been doing wrong is not getting Moose's attention BEFORE he gets focused on a distraction. I have tried squeaky toys, the freeze dried liver treats work okay. I was wondering if anyone has had luck with one kind of treat, or toy, or sound that maybe I could...

Normal dominace or beginning of DA

Moose is starting to exibit some dominace issues I think. He was all over my neighbors lab puppy tonight. The puppy can right up to try to play, and Moose immediatly jumped on him, and push him to the ground. No teeth were involved, Moose did growl once though. He did this about five times, every ti...

No, as I said he hasn't vomited, no loose poop, no sneezing, or coughing, just tired. I am going to keep a close eye on him, and if neccessary, I 'll bring him to the e-vet if he gets worse. Thanks for the reply. I'll call his vet too, just to be safe.
