note: he has been acting tired for the past two days. As I stated I thought it was due to the increase in excercise.

Moose isn't acting right, might jsut be me overreacting, but

He has been extremely tired for the past couple of days. He hasn't had nearly as much energy as usual. I thought it was beacause he has been going for more walks, but he hasn't been for one today and he is still sleeping alot. If he isn't any better by tommorow I am taking him to the vet, but I was ...

What was your dog/s like when they were 7 months old?

I'd like to hear about other peoples experiences with their dogs at this age. Moose is certainly a handful. Anyone want to share?

Thanks to all who replied. I am no walking Moose without his harness. Just a regular collar and a flexi leash. These are exercise walks, without people and other dogs around. He has gotten better about not pulling, but when he does, I stop and wait until he comes back to me, I try to get him to sit,...

Thanks for all the advice guys. I printed out the sticky on NILIF guide, and am doing my best to do things the right way. I am such a softie that I feel like not giving him everything he wants all the time is being mean, but I am hanging in there. I know I am doing the right thing for him, and in th...

To all those with two or more dog households

Hi, I was wondering what precautions you take with your dogs. What situations do you avoid? How many of you have had your dogs get into tussles? Thanks for any replies.

If you are not prepared to "crate and rotate" both dogs for the rest of their lives, then do not bring another dog into your home EVER. What do you mean by this? If you know that you will want to "get rid" of one of the dogs if things do not work out, then do not bring in anothe...

Thanks to all new repliers (is that even a word?) :)

Moose is doing better on our walks. I still let him walk in front of me, but I am teaching him to come back to me when I stop. I am trying to get him to the point where I don't have to say anything, and have him come directly to me. He is stubborn and he has the attention span of a gnat, but he is d...

Moose is still a puppy, so he doesn't always listen if there are distractions. He's getting better about that though. He has no agression issues, and he is healthy. He is half amstaff though, so he isn't from a purebreed breeder.

In my opinion she is. Moose is a really good puppy, he has a great temperment, and his littermate is the same way. He has some behavioural problems, but other than that he's great. What in your opinion makes a good breeder?

When is the best time to get a new puppy?

It's me again, with yet another question. Anyone getting sick of me yet?:) I was called by the woman I got Moose from, and told that she is havign another litter. I am thinking about getting another pup, but I have to address the issue Moose is having with listening to me first. My question is, shou...

To Finnigan: Yes Moose has been through puppy class, and done training on loosh leash walking. He doesn't pull 95% of the time on his walks with no distractions. I am going to move on to more distractions soon. I was taught to stop and make him come back to me when he is pulling. To pack of pits : I...

Don't know if this is okay or not..

I thought that Cesar milan tips were good things, but I read another post where some people don't think he's a good role model to follow. Uh, I guess the question is, should I not go for a trainer who uses his methods? I know when I've tried them on Moose, he didn't respond very well, but then I was...
