Re: Advice Please!!

I wish the mom-to-be a safe delivery and a speedy recovery if it comes to a c-section. Please let us know how it turns out.

Re: Avon Skin-so-soft

I've never used it on the dogs, but have used it for many years on the horses. (I won't say how long, that would just be showing my age, he-he) Worked great, we just rubbed it on, nothing fancy.

Re: Is re-vaccination necessary?

With an unknown vaccine history, the DHLPP is always done in a series. That combo of vax needs to be boostered to achieve full protection. They are done like that so the pup/dog can build up it's immune system against those infections. Most of these vaccines are "modified live" and the bod...

Also it c ould be that she is too far along to do x-ray. There is a certian time frame that she has to be in for the x-ray where the pups are formed enough to show up but after that time frame an x-ray can hurt the pups. Good luck! Ugh this I dont get, they proved like 60-70 years ago that xraying ...

Re: Good Morning Pit Bull Forum!

Hi!! It's nice that you have taken in dogs from those circumstances. How about more info on you? Like how old are you, what do you do for a living, how you came to get your first bully, what you do with your dogs, your plans with your dogs, stuff like that.

Re: Hello from Australia

Hi, just want to let you know that this forum is anti-breeding, even those of us who do it are still anti-breeding. Most of us feel that dogs that should be bred conform to all breed standards, and are good working dogs with multiple titles and are fully health tested. Breeding cuz she is cute is NO...

Re: Looking for heartgard

That's weird! But check out Interceptor if he carries that line. It's just as good IMO. If I were to go that route, use Interceptor and Frontline. Sentinel doesn't do ticks and is only a flea "birth control"

Hope the good news stays good news!!!
Just start to cut down on the expressing, if they are done too often then they will require you to keep doing it. It's one of those things that once you start, you can't stop. Hopefully with the new foods and such you will never have to do them again!!!

Re: Advice Please!!

As horrible as this sounds- I always hope that people like that get stuck with 10 puppies that they can't sell! Makes them think twice about breeding in the future! Hope everything goes ok for the mommy-to-be though, keep us updated.

Re: OFFICIAL ear cropping/tail docking debate thread

Personally I wouldn't crop my dogs ears unless I had to (i.e. full stand, or flopped). I have show dogs and I know that in some cases that may mean I won't place with a dog with natural ears, but I don't care. I love the extra it gives to their expression. Anyway my girl already gets too many "...

Re: Gross and Intimate girl dog question (with pictures!)

IDK about dignity.... there is just something really funny about a dog in a diaper!!! Although Vi prefers Huggies Pull-ups over the off-brand ones! They have really cute designs, I have a pack of Blue's Clues ones on standby for next month!

My DH calls it hoody-hoo.

Re: Looking for heartgard

FYI- if you purchase your Heartgard from a vet Merril backs up their product. If (god forbid) your pet ever contracts heartworms or gets a parasite (rounds, hooks) the company will pay for treatment. They do not back their product if bought from one of the mail order companies. At the clinic I work ...
