Re: About to kill diesel

I'm confused. You're threatening to kill your dog if he harms your family, but you don't specify WHY you're posting this, and if you're asking for help to manage and retrain his behaviors. Why would you even think about having an unsafe animal around an infant or pregnant woman? If you're unwilling ...

Head shy dog

My foster bull terrier needs ointment rubbed onto his snout for severely dry skin so that it will heal. He won't hold still and really doesn't like me handing his head. Obviously he needs to hold still for many things throughout life. What can I do to help him get comfortable and allow me to handle ...

Doesn't tug anymore - tooth issues?

About three years ago Rocky broke a canine tooth and the smaller neighbor tooth. The point of the canine is broken off, and the smaller tooth is missing about 1/3 of it's side. It doesn't appear that the root is exposed. We still have no idea how he did it, but his teeth are not weak. He regularly c...

Re: She killed a puppy

He was probably just mortified that she'd actually eaten one of her own. To be honest, I'd be completely sick if I'd seen it. It's been ingrained into us humans that cannibalism is BAD. But I don't believe in destroying a human if they're a cannibal. I also don't believe in destroying an animal for ...

Thanks for the welcome, guys. My screenname - I hitchhiked from Baltimore, Maryland to Salt Lake City, Utah in 2008. It took me just over a month, and it was a blast!

Hello from the Gulf Coast

I grew up in Florida and my parents have always had pit bulls. They have pictures of me a couple of months old with three dogs curled up around me sleeping. One at the head, the others on the sides. My first dog was a catahoula hound mix my uncle gave me named Rocky, but he died after he climbed the...
