Re: Petella Luxation

What grade is it?

Personally I would get a 2nd opinion. My boy has a luxating Patella and the original vet who saw him recommended surgery. 2 specialists said he does not need surgery. He is on a joint supplement.

Re: good, durable collars?

I've ordered from stillwater several times with no issues. As far as durability and inexpensive you can not beat his prices and quality. Several other great companies have already been mentioned. It is really a matter of how much you want/willing to spend. I have never ordered collars from here http...

Re: Feeding Raw

How does everyone feed their raw? Outside, inside? How do you keep the areas clean and hygienic? I feed inside. Khan has a towel he eats on that I put down. The cats for the most part eat out of their dishes. Sometimes with a placemat underneath. They eat on tile and I wipe the area up when they ar...

Re: Feeding Raw

:(

I got a little of last years venison from a friend and that is it so far. It is only bow season here. I believe rifle season starts next week though. I NEED more venison so hopefully the hunters will do well here!

Re: Feeding Raw

I officially have 3 out of 4 cats on full raw as of today. 1 has been on full for almost a month I think. I'll be trying more with the hold out kitty once I am healed up from my surgery. I also have started Khan on some chicken and he hasn't seemed to have any allergic reaction to it. You're lucky!...

Re: FOOD QUESTION

Eh, from my experience with foods and allergies....stick to what is working. It isn't worth switching it up. X2 I fed NB a couple of the LID formulas. My boy did well on it for a while, but I think they switched something in the formula cause then he started doing horrible on it! He is on raw now a...

Re: elevated feeder

Maybe I'm wrong but I think there's evidence to support both sides of that argument. It's beautiful :) X3 I believe the only definite thing from both sides of that argument is the effect exercise has prior to and after feeding in relation to bloat. I think the suggestion of feeding elevated is the ...

Re: Arthritis...

You could try cold laser therapy as an alternative to nsaids. Are you already giving her glucosomine and fish oil? X2 My cat was recently diagnosed with Arthritis in his back. I see a holistic vet. He currently has him on fish oil, duralactin and cold laser treatments. I recently added cosequin(cat...

Since I am off on a medical leave I think I will use the time to call all the local markets I have been meaning to call and get some prices.
