Introduction

Postby Lisamlong1 » Mon Feb 06, 2017 12:53 am

Hi everyone! My name is Lisa and I have a 3 month old pit named Rocky. He is my first pit but my husband has had several. When we decided to get our 10 year old son a puppy he recommended a pit. I wasn't so sure but he assured me they are smart and great with kids. So far he has been a great dog but he nips a lot which hurts since he's getting bigger and he continues to poop and pee in the house. He seems to be very stubborn.

Hi Lisa welcome to the forum!

Would love to see a picture of Rocky. Have you considered crate training? There is a lot of information on the forum under training and behavior.

Pit bulls are very smart. Is Rocky motivated by toys or food? My girl Boo loves food and I always keep treats on hand for training.

If you have any questions let us know.
