Ended up doing pulp caps on both lower canines. Turns out the right was dangerously close to showing pulp. Her lower canines are about 1/2 the size they were, but they look fantastic. He did a great job. He also said the top left one was dead.

The vet was wrong, pulp was exposed...and it was very painful for her until it died.

I am a horrible dog mom!!
But, we will get that root canal done in a couple months, he said it will be ok till then. It was only $300 for the procedure, including the dental radiographs. The vet is one of two certified veterinarian dental specialists in Houston. The other one wanted $2000 for one root canal, and a pulp cap would be a couple hundred less than that. We got both done, for $300 and he is a wonderful vet. Sooo happy. She recovered well, and is back to her playful self! I'll post pics of the fixed teeth.
