Red discoloration on canine teeth

Postby eglejo » Fri May 27, 2016 1:10 am

I noticed red discoloration on my 18 months old Kyro canines.....
There also seem to be slight lines. They don't appear to be bothering him though as he doesn't have any hesitation biting.

Vet said it's not a big problem, a lot of working dogs have this. She said it came out of strong biting (like jolly balls, tree branches etc).

Has anyone encounters this?

Can he participate in conformation show with that? Everything with his teeth is ok, only this little problem..

You said borrowed from the internet, is this not your dog in the photo?

No, this photo is not mine. I read in the internet about this problem and found this photo. Owner of German Shepard had this problem also.

But my dog's tooth looks the same, so I borrowed this photo to show the same problem.

Not sure about confirmation as it's not somthing I'm into, I prefer the working side of things, but I personally wouldn't worry about, just keep an eye on it from time to time, I'm guessing he don't have a problem eating, so all should be well :)

As I said though just keep an eye on it :)

Hope this helps.

No, no problems with eating, biting toys or anything. Ok, thanks, I will keep an eye on it and hope, that it won't be a problem in conformation :)

I would keep an eye on him, i wouldn't be worried too much though. If he bites and eats well he is okay i guess.
