Ruby RAN!!!!!

Postby Maryellen » Sun May 17, 2009 10:44 am

to meet BabyReba this morning.. she has NEVER done that to someone she never met before, but this morning we met BabyReba and Ruby RAN To meet her.. as in pulling me running to meet her and was all wiggles and licks and didnt show ONE ounce of fear meeting a new person... normally with some folks she never met before she is hesitant, and it takes a while, like MikeZev it took 3 meetings before she was fine with him, now every time she sees Mike she wiggles and jumps all over him to kiss him and such. she NEVER met Baby Reba before, this morning was the first time, and she ran and jumped on her and was all wiggles... i am so PROUD of her.. this is a HUGE step for her, and all the training and socializing i have been doing with her for the past year is working!!! i am so proud of her and sooo happy..

hahaa. i know she is!! ruby and rufus thought so to... rufus did his usual calm greeting, while ruby bounced all over her... she felt bad not having any dogs with her, so i gave her rufus's leash and we went walking around, then we traded and i gave her rubys leash.. we all got a good workout this morning... she is now on her way home so should be back home by 4 or so... she even commented how rufus is a celebrity LOL... she never met him before, so she got a double treat of meeting both of them..

I can tell just from the excitement of your post what a big moment that was for Ruby and you. What a good girl. Lucky Erin got to meet them both. :)

Is Ruby usually fearful of men and women in the beginning or just men?

i was very proud of her. she can go either way with men or women, some folks she is fine, others she is fearful and wont go near them. some take a few meetings for her to warm up to them, but with Erin she was awesome.. she did get her pants a little muddy though.. i felt really bad about that, but Erin understood. she literally pulled me to erin, if i didnt have my workboots on i probably would have fallen in the wet grass as she was pulling me so hard..

Well, now I'm embarrassed for you. I mean, Oscar has NEVER mauled Erin with love to the point that she looked like she'd been in a mud pit. lol
