Bow Wow Flix - Netflix for Dog Training Videos

Postby FransterDoo » Sat Mar 24, 2012 5:45 pm

http://www.bowwowflix.com

where oh where has this been in our life???

For $11 a month, they have a 1-at-a-time plan for thousands of dog training videos of all types.

Not just training videos, but some specialty documentaries, competition videos (like the 2011 FCI agiltiy championships), health and nutrition, etc, etc.

So awesome if, like us, you've been eyeing some videos but don't know if they are worth buying.

Silvia Trkman's Ready Steady, Go! is at the top of our queue.

Any chance they have an on-demand in the making?

I think Clean Run might have some On Demand. Maybe it was Front & Finish. Somebody does. The selection was limited wherever I saw it.

Yeah, We saw it, joined and promptly added like 37 things to our queue.

Adrianne - they seem like a fairly small operation. They ship from one location in Washington and remind folks that they aren't Netflix (aka giant).

Plus I think that you have to get the videos in a streaming format from the publisher and many of these small companies probably aren't there yet.

I started it about a month ago...so far I'm very pleased with it.

My only complaint is it takes a little longer than netflix... but I'm only on my second video...so we'll see.

Either way they have an awesome selection and I am going to get to see stuff I would never purchase!

Things like this have been out there for quite a while.I still oddly get surprised about all the "dog people" who still don't know/take advantage of what is available.

Once again, thank you for such a productive post Fransterdoo. It was wonderful of you to bring this to light for those not as networkly advanced as others.

I can't wait for streaming, I'm so bad at mailing things - I switched my netflix to streaming only!

I considered it, but I have no time to sit down and watch anything. I keep Netflix movies for months.

Maybe when Syd is in college!

Thanks, Adrianne! I hope we can experience all those videos we can't afford to buy (since, like you, we're paying for a number of lessons and entry fees).

and to Red - please consider rereading your posts sometimes. I understand that you struggle with tone in written English but your post comes off rude and condescending. Maybe get out, have a burger, maybe even a couple of beers...

I'll take some wine, if that is okey with you, after you consider rereading some of your posts on this forum, before lecturing my posting style.

I have myself posted similar options, on several occasions , and I will *gasp* repeat that things like these are not often taken advantage of, which was the tone of my post. How condescending of me to make such a statement!

Frankly I can't see why you'd need to be snarky, if this is something you'd mentioned before you should be happy to see it mentioned and catching on.

As it is we're all glad for those ahead of the curve on how to save money when training, I am however even happier to see Fransterdoo helped bring along a few others with her encouraging post. Thus furthering the purpose of this forum.

Let's return the the topic at hand, productive sharing of this resource.

I'm super intrigued by a few of their options, is it month by month or contract?
