I am having a difficult time trying to understand how to become a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT). I have read the handbook and I understand that you need to log 300 hours in canine behavior consulting with customers, shelters, rescues, ect. I'm confused as to how you can do canine behavior consulting with customers to count towards your hours logged when you are not certified??
Can someone please tell me what piece of the puzzle am I missing? I am reading through this handbook and it says nothing about need any sort of certificate to sit for the exam. You simply need to hours logged and you have to have a CPDT or Vet sign off on it.
any help??
