Chicago, IL suburbs - BSL?

Hi

I am going to be moving out of Chicago into the burbs, hopefully this year.
I did some research and can't find what I am looking for.

I need to know if there are any Chicago suburbs (cook county) that ban Pit Bulls. I know I can probably call city hall or animal control in each city, but for now if I can find info digitally I would be grateful.

Please advise, I appreciate it.
BIG BACKYARD for all 3 of my dogs very soon!
Nick

As far as I know Illinois has a statewide law banning BSL. However, that doesn't stop homerule cities from doing their own thing. Here's a listing I found, but as always do your research into the individual cities rules and ordinances before you make any decisions.

The only suburb that is really close to me is Wheeling, and that's 15 miles away. That listing helped though as I was looking at Wheeling as an option.

There are probably 5-7 cities not on there that I am considering.
Thanks for the list though. This info is hard to find.

Oh my goodness. I feel so very silly for now knowing more about this. This is devastating actually.

I live in Los Angeles with my pit mix right now, but I'm from the Chicago suburbs. I would hate to move back there one day and have my girl banned? According to the link right now it is in discussion in Chicago?! What the heck. I must stay on top of this. Thank you for the information.

I don't think that's accurate anymore.
I have read nor heard of any discussions in the city of Chicago about BSL.
Several years ago, it was tried but never went through. If anyone finds a 'reliable' source of Chicago getting into this again, let me know, but I don't see that they are.
