Sweet Ol' Michigan

Postby Tyner » Sun Sep 01, 2013 1:18 pm

Hello everyone! I haven't posted in awhile on here, so I thought this would b a good topic to post on!

Let me start by telling you a little about me. I have two very wonderful pits. They are a year apart, and absolutely love each other. Me and my husband are pretty young still, and are both in college. We have no children yet, but we look at our dogs like kids!

Here is my issue..
Michigan has several counties that have BSL laws. I live in a little town next to Saginaw, and lucky enough we don't have any here! However, Saginaw does. Most of the smaller towns around don't have anything telling m I can't have my dogs there, except one thing.. landlords! I have the worst time trying to find somewhere to rent. I have heard everything from "your kidding m right!?" to "There is children on this street, I can't risk your dogs eating them!".

Now, keep in mind I am a young professional. I have steady income, no criminal record, could even pass a drug test. I offer every person I talk to the opportunity to meet my dogs and see for themselves that I have two very well behaved dogs, I have yet for someone to take me up on this offer.

In my personal experience, closed minded landlords are just as awful as BSL laws.

Here are my dogs.

I think some people here have had good luck finding rentals by making a "resume" for their dogs. Have you thought about that? What about getting their CGC?
